AlternaTours. Since 2003, Alterna has offered experiential tours to Guatemala; taking delegates off the beaten path and introducing folks to the complex realities that lead so many Guatemalans to migrate to El Norte.

Community development. From teaching at a seminary in Guatemala City to launching a scholarship program and technology center in the indigenous community of Nebaj; Alterna and its friends recognize that constructive, development programs are needed if we are to address some of the root causes of migration.

Fair Trade Coffee.  Alterna is partnering with coffee farmers in El Sauce, many of whom have family in LaGrange, to bring you fairly traded, shade-grown coffee from the hills of La Libertad.
